NOTE: Always lift the pans and place them delicately on the glass ceramic surface. Do
not slide the pans on the hob or the glass surface may become damaged.

4.2.3 Energy saving

Follow these practical tips to save electricity during your cooking activities.
WARNING: When preparing dishes that require long cooking times in a pressure cooker,
make sure the pressure cooker contains sufficient liquid, because leaving an empty pan
on the hob could damage both hob and pan.
NOTE: Place the pans on the cooking zone before switching on.
NOTE: Position the pans in the centre of the cooking zone.
NOTE: Use residual heat of the cooking zone to keep food warm. Heat up another dish on
a cooking zone that has just been used in order to make use of the residual heat.
NOTE: When heating water, heat only the amount you actually need .
NOTE: Always place a lid of the correct size on pots and pans.
NOTE: Use a suitable size pan for the quantity of food to be cooked. Using a large pan
that is only partly full results in energy wastage.
