2 : GENERAL SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS

Important warnings

DANGER: There is a risk of fire if cleaning is not carried out in compliance with the
instructions given in this manual.
DANGER: Risk of fire due to spontaneous ignition of oil and grease vapours. Do not
reuse cooking oil: used oil may contain organic residues that increase the likelihood of
spontaneous combustion.
If the recipe requires the addition of alcoholic beverages (such as rum, cognac or wine),
bear in mind that alcohol evaporates at high temperatures. It may occur therefore that
the resulting alcohol fumes could ignite when they come into contact with the heating
elements.
DANGER: Do not place flammable products or objects soaked in flammable liquids in, on
top of, or near the appliance.
During and following use of the oven, do not touch the heating elements or internal
surfaces to avoid the risk of burns. Avoid contact with fabric or other flammable materials
until the appliance parts have cooled completely.
DANGER: Danger of hot areas. Failure to comply with these prescriptions could result in
burns or scalds.
During use, accessible parts of the appliance could become sufficiently hot to cause
burns.
Do not touch the glass ceramic hob until the surface has cooled; do not place clothing or
any other objects on the hob while it is still hot.
Do not place metal objects on the hob such as knives, forks, spoons, and pan lids, since
they may become hot.
The handles of pans may be hot to the touch. Make sure pan handles are not above any
of the hob's cooking zones when they are switched on.
When the oven is in use, the heating elements and parts of the oven door may become
extremely hot. Do not touch the heating elements.
DANGER: If the hob surface becomes damaged, disconnect the appliance from the
power supply immediately to avoid electric shock.
DANGER: Use caution: the panel edges are sharp.
Risk of injury or cuts if proceeding without due caution.
DANGER: Do not make any modifications to the appliances.
Installation, electrical connection, and possible modifications made to the home electrical
system must be carried out by a specialised technician. Failure to comply with these
safety prescriptions may result in damage or potentially fatal injury due to electric shock.
DANGER: Do not expose the appliances to the weather, including rain or direct sunshine.
