The first jumps

Stretched jump
– Start from a standing position, feet at shoulder
width, head up straight facing forwards on the
trampoline mat.
– Swing your arms forwards and with a circular
motion take them high above your head.
– Bring legs and feet together in the air with your
toes pointing downwards.
– On landing on the mat, your feet should be at
shoulder width (the position you started from).
Knee jump
– Start with a flat stretched jump.
– Land on your knees with your knees at shoulder
width. Keep your back straight and your body
stretched with your arms out to the sides or to the
front to maintain balance.
– Return to the original jumping position by swing-
ing your arms up.
– If you can control the jump at this height, you can
jump a little higher, but remember you still need
to be able to control the jump height.

Seated jump
– Start with a flat stretched jump in the normal posi-
tion.
– Land with your legs stretched out in front of you
with both hands next to your hips for support.
Keep your back straight and your body stretched.
– Exert pressure on your hands to return back to
the upright position.
– If you can control the jump at this height, you can
jump a little higher, but remember you still need
to be able to control the jump height.

ADVANCED EXERCISES

Note: Consult a trained trampoline instruc-
tor before you move on to advanced exer-
cises in order to maintain the highest possi-
ble level of safety.
If you wish to continue training and learning
advance trampoline exercises, please con-
sult a qualified and authorised instructor.
Stretched jump
– Start with a flat stretched jump in the normal posi-
tion.
– Land on hands and knees simultaneously. Pay
attention to ensure that your back is horizontal to
the mat and your hands and legs are at shoulder
width.
– Exert pressure on your hands to return back to
the upright position.
– If you can control the jump at this height, you can
jump a little higher, but remember you still need
to be able to control the jump height.
– Only move on to the next exercise when you con-
trol this jump well.
