LITTER TOP REMOVAL
English
Tools Required:
• T40 Torx Socket with Extension
• 3/8" Drive Ratchet
• Standard Screwdriver
• 3/8" Drive Torque Wrench (ft-lb)
• 7/16-20 Fine Thread Bolt
Procedure:
1 .
Using the foot pedal, pump the litter top all the way up .
2 .
Remove the stretcher mattress .
3 .
Using a T40 Torx socket and a 3/8" drive ratchet, remove the truss head screws that hold the jack support tubes
to the jack shafts .
4 .
Insert a fine-thread 7/16-20 bolt far enough into the top of the jack supports to separate the litter top from the jack
shaft .
5 .
With the assistance of another person, lift the litter straight up to remove it from the jack shafts and set it aside .
6 .
Reverse steps to reinstall . During reinstallation, torque the truss head screws to 23 ± 3 ft-lb .
7 .
Verify proper operation of the unit before returning it to service .
