Fault indication at control stations with control head type 230

In case of the control head type 230 errors are indicated by the connected operating modules. For multiple-engine
systems one operating module is provided for each engine so that an error is indicated for each engine at the
corresponding operating module.

A buzzer is integrated in the control head. If this buzzer is activated in case of an error, it can be acknowledged and in
this way deactivated via the button "alarm acknowledgement" at the active control station. If the active control station is
defective in case of an error, the fault can also be acknowledged at the passive control station.
The states are indicated as follows:
Warning
Alarm-Light
Alarm
Whereas in the states "warning" and "alarm-light" the vessel can still be controlled in a limited way by the control station,
in case of an "alarm" the cruising state of the ship can no longer be influenced. For this reason the indication of
operational readiness (green lamp on the right) is still active in the first two cases, in case of an alarm, however, it will be
deactivated. The same applies for the control head lighting.
7.2

Fault indication at control stations with control head type 240/241/244/251

Errors are indicated separately for the portside and starboard system in case of a control head type 240/241/251. For this
purpose, two red alarm lamps are provided on the indication and operating unit of the control head. In case of a single-
engine system both alarm lamps are activated.
The control head is equipped with an integrated buzzer, which can be activated among others for acoustic signaling of an
error. Via the button "alarm acknowledgement" the alarm can be acknowledged irrespective of the system side that
reported the error. If the buzzer was active before, it will be deactivated during the acknowledgement.
