In case of propulsion systems with several engines the levers of all propulsion systems of the requesting control station
must be positioned in the same range as the levers of the active control station before the change of control station can
be continued.
If a continuation of the change of control station is possible, the active command can be transferred by pressing the
button COMMAND at the requesting station again. The requesting station becomes the active control station after
pressing the button and the previously active control station turns passive.
If the button COMMAND is not pressed a second time, the change of control station will be aborted after 30 seconds.
The active control station does not change its state.
If the requesting station has an error, a change of control station is impossible as well. After two slow repetitions of
buzzer sounds and flashes of the lamp COMMAND the change of control station is aborted after the first activation of the
button.

Maneuver with standing ship

The control of the engine speed and gear position is carried out only from the active control station by means of the
control head lever. In case of propulsion systems with several engines one lever on the control station respectively acts
on one engine.
After switching on the control and activating a control station the lever is positioned in neutral detent. The rpm target is
idle speed, the gear is disengaged.
Movement of the lever from neutral to detent ahead or detent astern
If the lever of the active control head is
moved to detent ahead or detent
astern, the clutch engagement
procedure of the control passes as
follows:
1. Engine speed increase from idle
speed to a clutch engagement
speed in order not to stall the
engine during clutch engagement.
2. After the rpm increase the control
waits a short time before the gear is
engaged.
3. Gear shifting to ahead or astern.
4. Maintaining of the increased clutch
engagement speed for a short time
to avoid that the engine is stalled
due to the sudden load.
5. Reduction of the engine speed to
idle speed.
The modification of the engine speed from idle speed to clutch engagement speed or from clutch engagement speed to
idle speed is not jerky. In the control maximally possible velocities of the rpm modification are stored in a so-called
acceleration curve, which make sure that the engine is not overloaded during rpm modifications. By this, vibrations and
the exhaust gas emissions are reduced.

The clutch engagement speed is calculated by the control automatically. It
can be between idle speed and the maximally admissible rpm for clutch
engagement indicated by the gear manufacturer.
The delay times can be so short that they are not recognized by the
steersman. They are optimized during sea trials in the scope of the remote
control's commissioning.
