1.1 Operating manual validity
This operating manual applies to the following components of the Marex OS II remote control system:
 MPC remote control device (type modular, cabinet, plus, OEM version)
 Control head (type 230, 240/241, 244, 250, 251, Marex OS CAN I/O)

 I C bargraph indicators and I
 CAN operating modules
 EPU
 I/O extension modules (series 750 and modules 701-712)
 I/O module and extension boards
 Electric actuators (4-20mA; direct activation)
 Actuator controller
This operating manual is intended for the operators.
This manual describes the operation of the remote control system Marex OS II. The individual operating and indication
elements, as provided in case of a system with standard functions, are explained. Components, which are applied for a
Marex OS II remote control with an extended functional rage, are not described in this manual. For remote control
systems with an extended functional range separate description exit.
► Read this documentation completely, especially chapter 2 "Safety instructions" before using the Marex OS II remote
control system.

Presentation of information

In the documentation for the Marex OS II ship remote control systems, consistent symbols, terms and abbreviations are
used and safety instructions are given in a consistent manner. The explanations in the following chapters will provide for
easy understanding.

This documentation includes safety instructions that warn against the risk of personal or property damage. If this
