16.4 USAGE

16.4.1 PUTTING ON THE BELT
Put on your climbing harness according to the
step-by-step instructions. Always thread the hip
belt strap through the binding ring. Adjust the
fit of the belt using the buckles provided (Figs.
10 & 11) so that your freedom of movement is
not restricted. Metal parts must not interfere
with the area of the hip bones and groin. With
an ideal setting, there should be no noticeable
pull from leg loops when the body is upright
(see Fig. 9). The circumference of the leg loops
should be adjusted so that approximately one
hand's width fits between the leg and belt (see
Figs. 8 & 9).
Perform a movement test and a suspension
test in a safe place to ensure that the belt is
securely fastened, comfortable and correctly ad-
justed (see Fig. 9). By connecting the backpack
to the harness, care should be taken with the
back length when adjusting the harness.
