Attention!
Even if you do not use your wheelchair for any length of time, it is recommended to regularly charge the
batteries (approx. once every three weeks) to make sure that the battery capacity is not diminished.
3.4.2

Replacing the batteries

Opening the battery tray and taking our the batteries:
Remove the two star knobs on the left-hand side and the right-hand side of the plastic front, at the side between the large wheels.
Remove the front.
Pull the battery tray out by the strap.
Take off the strap by pushing on the locks on the left and the right of the clasp. On some models, the clasp is replaced by Velcro.
Remove the lid.
Disconnect the battery terminals.
Take out the batteries. The one at the back cannot be taken out until the first one has been removed. (Use the hand grips to pick up
the batteries.)
Checking and cleaning the guides on the battery tray:
Open the battery tray as described above. The lid and the plastic front can stay where they are. However, the seat should be taken
from the chair.
Clean the rails with a clean towel, both the parts on the battery tray and the parts on the inside of the wheelchair.
Lightly grease with a water-repellent lubricant, such as lithium grease.

Built-in protection devices

3.5.1

Midway

The Midway is equipped with the following built-in protection devices:
The maximum speed may be reduced by the dealer.
Parking brake: when the wheelchair comes to a standstill, the parking brake is applied automatically.
The electronics are protected against overloading of the motor: automatic reset.
The lighting circuit is short-proof.
The main power circuit is protected against short-circuiting.
Battery indicator: indicates when the battery needs to be recharged.
If the wheelchair is switched on and the joystick is not in neutral, the wheelchair will not move. By moving the joystick to the neutral
position, the driving function is reactivated.
3.5.2

Antibes

The Antibes is equipped with the following built-in protection devices:
If your wheelchair is equipped with a high/low system, the max. speed is reduced when the high/low is in use.
The maximum speed may be reduced by the dealer.
Parking brake: when the wheelchair comes to a standstill, the parking brake is applied automatically.
The electronics are protected against overloading: automatic reset.
The main power circuit is protected against short-circuiting.
Battery indicator: indicates when the battery needs to be recharged.
If the wheelchair is switched on and the joystick is not in neutral, the wheelchair will not move. By moving the joystick to the neutral
position, the driving function is reactivated.

Atlantic

The Atlantic is equipped with the following built-in protection devices:
