3.10 Storage
Store your wheelchair in a place that is not damp.
If you do not use your wheelchair for any length of time, it is recommended to regularly charge the batteries (approx. once every
three weeks) to make sure that the battery capacity is not diminished.
3.11 Transport in car or taxi
3.11.1
Chair without occupant
•
Make sure the parking brake is applied when the wheelchair is inside the vehicle.
•
Make sure the wheelchair is fixed, especially if there is no separate luggage room (e.g. in a van).
The back rest may be folded down and the leg rests removed for transport.
Folding down the back rest:
•
Using key 13, unscrew bolt A and remove it, see Figure 23 BOVEN.
•
The adjusting rod is loose now and the back rest can be folded down.
•
To remount the adjusting rod, replace bolt A and tighten it.

Attention!
Only pick up the wheelchair by the frame parts, never by the arm or leg rests or the seat.

The wheelchair occupant may only be transported while seated in the wheelchair, if:

The car or taxi has been specially equipped for the, AND
•
The taxi-mounting set has been installed, AND
•
The user is properly strapped in using the safety belts of the car or taxi
However, as far as possible, try to use the seat in the car or taxi and its safety belts, to transport the
wheelchair owner. It is safer.
