Folding down the controller

Sometimes you may want to fold down the controller, for example if you are going to take place at a table with your wheelchair. To
do this, press the handle (see Figure 19 above) and push down the controller.
The controller is returned to the driving position by moving it up until it is locked.
3.4

Batteries

3.4.1

Charging the batteries

Your wheelchair is provided with a charging point at the front of the controller. It is easily accessed even while you are sitting in your
wheelchair.
If you are going to use your wheelchair on a daily basis, it is recommended to charge the batteries every night.
To charge the batteries, proceed as follows:
•
Switch off your wheelchair.
•
Put the charging plug into the charging point, see Figure 20 BOVEN.
•
Switch on the charger (refer to the user manual that goes with your battery charger).
•
When the charging cycle is completed (refer to the user manual that goes with your battery charger), switch off the charger and
take the charging plug from the charging point.
Always complete a full charging cycle. Should you charge for only an hour each time, this would greatly affect the useful life and
performance of the (dry) batteries.
It is not possible to drive with your wheelchair while the charging plug is switched on.

Warning!
•
Only use the neutral handle if the wheelchair needs to be pushed. While in neutral, the motors and the
automatic parking brake do not function.
•
After pushing, immediately release the handle from neutral position, to make sure the automatic
parking brake will function again.
Switch off the wheelchair if it needs to be pushed: otherwise, it will be very hard to push.

Attention!
Make sure the table is high enough to sit at with your wheelchair: if the table is too low, or if it has a broad edge,
the controller may be damaged even in the lower position.
