3.2.7 Materials
The unit is rotomoulded polyethylene, PE.
3.2.8 External loads
• The maximum load rating for the plastic access cover is 1 kg/cm
• A concrete access cover Class A is applicable for any location where it is subjected only to loads from pe-
destrians or pedal cyclists.
• A concrete access cover Class B is applicable for pedestrian areas, car parks, or car parking decks.
• A concrete access cover Class D is applicable for carriage ways of roads, hard shoulders, and parking areas
for all types of road vehicles.
NOTICE:
Only pump stations which are designed for Class D can be used in Class D
environments.
