11. Move the milk container slowly up and down in a circular motion until the milk froth has
the desired consistency.
13. Clean the steam nozzle and the milk frother nozzle immediately after use in the manner
described in the "Cleaning" chapter.
14. Move the VORHEIZEN AN/AUS (PREHEAT ON/OFF) switch to the "AUS" (OFF)
position to switch off the espresso machine and allow the device to cool down for a few
minutes before you use it again.

Preparing Hot Drinks with the Steam Nozzle

You can use the steam nozzle (without the milk frother nozzle!) to prepare hot drinks such as
cocoa, water or tea.
2. Open the water reservoir and filter compartment cover.
3. Fill the water reservoir with water.
4. Close the water reservoir and filter compartment cover.
5. If the milk frother nozzle is still attached to the steam nozzle, remove it.
6. Move the MODE switch to the "WASSERDAMPF" (STEAM) position.
7. Move the VORHEIZEN AN/AUS (PREHEAT ON/OFF) switch to the "AN" (ON) posi-
tion. The first control lamp from the left will light up as soon as the preheating process
begins.
8. As soon as the second control lamp from the left lights up, the preheating process has
finished.
9. Fill a container, e. g. a cup, with the liquid which you want to heat up, e. g. cold water. Make
sure that you do not fill the container right up to the top.
10. Dip the steam nozzle into the liquid which is to be heated up.

12. After frothing is complete, turn the steam power control
clockwise as far as it will go in order to switch off the steam
nozzle.
