Use

ATTENTION!
❐ Make sure that the water tank has been fi lled with water, the grinder with coffee beans or
ground coffee has been added to the fi lter when the timer function is activated!
❐ Generally only add enough water to the water tank as you need for one brewing process!
❐ Do not turn on the device if there is no water in the water tank! Always fi ll the water tank
at least up to the MIN mark!
❐ Do not overfi ll the water tank! Make sure that you do not fi ll water past the MAX mark
on the water level gauge when adding water to the device's water tank.

Start-up and basic settings

1. Place the device on a dry, level and heat-resistant base.
2. Connect the device to a properly installed socket.
3. The preset time will appear on the display.
4. Use the Stunde (Hour) and Minute buttons to set the time. For quick selection, hold
down the buttons until the desired time appears on the display.

2. Flip open the water tank cover.
3. Add the desired amount of water to the water tank. The water level gauge indicates how
many cups of water you have added to the water tank. Always fi ll the water tank at least up
to the MIN mark and no more than up to the MAX mark.
4. Then close the water tank cover.
5. Put the water tank back in the device.
6. Open the fi lter compartment by pushing the release button for the fi lter compartment.
7. Place the fi lter compartment insert and the permanent fi lter in the fi lter compartment. Op-
tionalle a conventional size-4 paper fi lter can be used. Make sure that all parts have been
inserted correctly; otherwise the coffee maker will not start the brewing process.
8. Close the fi lter compartment.
9. Add the coffee beans to the coffee maker's grinder. Then place the grinder lid back on the
grinder.
10. Adjust the switch for the grinding degree as desired (extra fi ne, fi ne or coarse).
11. Place the glass pot on the heating plate.
12. Select the number of cups you would like to brew with the button 2 – 10 Tassen (Cups).
