• The espresso machine has a water pump which pumps water out of the water
reservoir. Pumping noises during operation are therefore normal.
• The steam nozzle and espresso machine cannot be used at the same time.
• The coffee machine and espresso machine can be operated at the same time.
However, be aware that the water reservoir does not contain enough water for
10 cups of coffee if you also brew espresso at the same time!
1. Place the device on a flat, heat-resistant surface in a place that is easily accessible.
2. Connect the device to a mains socket that has been properly installed.

Preheating the Espresso Machine

The top shelf on the device warms up during the preheating process. You can place
your espresso cups on this to preheat them.
To enjoy an optimum espresso experience, we recommend that you preheat the device:
2. Open the water reservoir and filter compartment cover.
3. Pour water into the water reservoir.
4. Close the water reservoir and filter compartment cover.
5. Insert the filter insert into the portafilter.

1. Turn the steam power control as far as it will go clockwise to
ensure that the steam power control is turned off.
6. Insert the portafilter (without any espresso powder) into the
device. Insert the portafilter in such a way that the handle is
opposite the open lock symbol.
