2. Open the water reservoir and filter compartment cover.
3. Fill the water reservoir with water.
4. Close the water reservoir and filter compartment cover.
6. Move the MODE switch to the "WASSERDAMPF" (STEAM) position.
7. Move the VORHEIZEN AN/AUS (PREHEAT ON/OFF) switch to the "AN" (ON) posi-
tion. The first control lamp from the left will light up as soon as the preheating process
begins.
8. Fill a container with approx. 100 ml of milk per cappuccino which is to be prepared.
For the best results, we recommend that you use cold unskimmed milk for frothing.
In addition, the diameter of the container in which you froth the milk should measure
approx. 70 mm. Please also make sure that the container is tall enough as the volume
of the milk will roughly double when it is frothed.
You should only ever turn up the steam power control slowly! If you turn up the
steam power control too abruptly, steam will shoot out of the steam nozzle into the
milk, which will cause this to shoot up out of the frothing container in an uncon-
trolled fashion.

1. Turn the steam power control as far as it will go clockwise to
ensure that the steam power control is turned off before you
switch on the device.
5. Slide the milk frother nozzle onto the steam nozzle.
9. As soon as the second control lamp from the left lights up, dip
the milk frother nozzle approx. 2 cm into the milk.
10. Turn the steam power control slowly anticlockwise so that
the milk can be frothed up with hot steam.
