Height sensor installation

Preparation

The height sensor makes it possible to determine the
distance between the headlamp's center plane and
the testing bay surface on which the vehicle is res-
ting. For the result of measurement to be error-free,
the measurement signal must strike a clean and flat
measuring surface. This surface is the upper surface
of the trolley.

Heed the following:
+
The surface of the trolley must be clean.
+
Do not step on the trolley while it is being used.
+
There must be no objects on the upper surface of
the trolley (also no paper)!

Installation

1. Switch off the beam setter; disconnect all connec-
ting cables from the device.
2. Bring the light box to the top position.
3. Loosen the two screws on the underside to unfasten
the light box from the slide shoe.

4. Remove the light box from the slide shoe and place it
on a clean, secure surface.
5. Remove the two M3 nuts from the screws near the
suspension points for the light box.
