6. Firmware update
6.1 HTD 6xx
1. Install the software "CTF5_Utility.exe" on a Windows-
based PC. The beam setter can be updated with this
software.
2. Connect the PC to the beam setter with a serial
cable, 9-pole M / F (pin to pin).
3. Switch on the beam setter.
4. Select the menu item "SERVICE" with the arrow keys
and confirm with the Enter key.
5. Select the menu item "FIRMWARE UPDATE" with the
arrow keys and confirm with the Enter key.
6. Enter password "1234" with the arrow keys and con-
firm with the Enter key.
7. Select the option "YES" with the arrow keys and con-
firm with the Enter key.
8. The firmware can now be updated.
1. Start the software "CTF5_Utility" from the PC.
2. Select the "Firmware Update" page.
3. Select the new firmware software (xxxx.frw) with
the "BROWSE" button.

The firmware can be downloaded from the "Soft-
ware-Center" at "http://www.beissbarth.com".

4. Start the update with the "UPDATE FIRMWARE"
button.
5. The beam setter is restarted automatically after suc-
cessful updating. The new FW version is indicated on
the LCD.
