Troubleshooting
Can't hear sound from a mic connected to mic output jacks 1/2 (channels 1/2)
• Could you have connected a condenser mic that requires phantom power?
Lower the input level fader to the minimum position, and then turn the phantom power
switch ON.
• Could a plug-in powered mic be connected?
The input from the plug-in powered mic jack takes priority. Input from a mic connected to the
XLR/phone jack of mic input 1 will be ignored.
Input sound is all the way to left or right
• Could the pan/balance knob be set all the way to left or right?
Set the pan/balance knob to the center position.
Can't hear sound that is input to the RCA phono jacks of line inputs 3/4
• Could a phone plug be connected to line input jacks 3/4–5/6?
Both phone jacks and RCA phono jacks are provided for these inputs. If something is connected to
both types of jacks, only the sound from the phone jacks will be input; the sound from the RCA
phono jacks will be ignored.
The L and R channels are independent, so if a phone plug is connected to L and an RCA phono plug
is connected to R, you will hear the audio from the phone plug input for the L channel, and the
audio from the RCA phono plug input for the R channel.
Knobs and sliders of channels 1/2 feel different than those of channels 3/4–9/10
This is not a malfunction.
