5. Insert room air control in the recessed-
mounted box and screw down to re-
cessed-mounted box with 2 screws.
6. Fit front panel. Make sure it locks into
position. With front covers, ensure that
sensor opening (hole in front panel) is
above the sensor.
7. Switch on mains fuse and remove warning
sign.
8. Start up ventilation system  Chapter 10.
9. Activate the sensor in service mode
 Chapters 14 or 15.

9.10 Additional room air controls

(parallel operation)
Additional room air controls are connected
to the RS 485 interface of the RLS 45 O/K
control according to Chapter 9.6.
Up to 3 additional, wired controls can be
added to a PP 45 system.
The set operating mode, ventilation level and
the additional External OFF function (if set up)
apply to all ventilation units.
The other additional functions (sleep mode,
intermittent ventilation, supply air operation)
are only relevant to units connected to the
room air control.
If a room air control is being used as a slave,
addressing as slave 1, 2 or 3 (depending on
number of slaves) must be selected in the
control's service menu.
For commissioning  Chapter 10, for param-
eter  Chapters 14 or 15.
9.11 PP 45 EO EnOcean extension mod-
ule
The PP 45 EO EnOcean extension module
allows radio-controlled ventilation units to also
be operated with the RLS 45 K wired control.
The PP 45 EO is connected to the RS 485 in-
terface of the RLS 45 K according to Chapter
9.8.

The PP 45 EO EnOcean module can

only be taught in with the commission-
ing software (RLS 45 K). This activates
teach-in mode and sends a radio tele-
gram. All radio sensors/radio switches
are taught in directly on the PP 45 EO.
Only the EnOcean module is taught in
on the master.

meter  Chapters 14 or 15.

9.12 PP 45 LT power unit

Power units are connected to the RS 485
interface of the RLS 45 O/K control according
to Chapter 9.6.
Up to 3 PP 45 LT power units (power modules)
can be added to a PP 45 system. 3 unit pairs
(6 devices) can be connected to each power
unit.
The first RLS 45 O/K control is operated as
the master and issues the commands. The
slave controls can permanently change the
commands.
This allows systems to be produced with up to
18 wired ventilation units (6 + 3*6 = 24 venti-
lation units).

The power units are connected to the plug-in
connection terminal of the room air control

When using more than 2 units, we re-

commend installing the room air control
in an electronic switch box to be sup-
plied by the customer. This provides
sufficient space for the connection of
the cables to the room air control.
All ventilation units of a group (Fan1 or Fan2)
for the entire ventilation system run together
in ventilation and air extraction mode.
Each power unit is addressed using a button
on the housing of the power unit (press button
x times, x = power unit 1, 2 or 3).
