Automatic operation must be manually
activated and deactivated for each operating
mode (WRG or cross-ventilation).
The settings are retained when switching
between the two operating modes.
If a ventilation level is set manually on an
RLS 45 K DS 45 RC
or
operation, the ventilation units continue to run
for 30 minutes in this ventilation level. The
ventilation units then switch back to automatic
operation.
7.4 Systems with wired
RLS 45 O and RLS 45 K controls
● The PP 45 O/K ventilation units are supplied
with a 12 V DC voltage using a wired RLS
45 O or RLS 45 K control and controlled
using pulse width modulation.
● A max. of 6 ventilation units (3 unit pairs)
can be connected to an RLS 45 O or RLS
45 K. Per unit pair, one ventilation unit is
connected to the Fan1 connection and the
Fan2 connection.
● In addition, up to 3 power units, each with
6 further PP 45 O/K ventilation units can be
used  Service mode.
● The operating mode and ventilation level
set on an RLS 45 O or RLS 45 K apply to
all room air controls and ventilation units, as
does the External OFF function. Additional
functions (intermittent ventilation, sleep
mode) only apply to the ventilation units on
the relevant room air control.
● In order to separately control additional
groups of 6 units, rather than the PP 45
power units, a max. of 3 additional RLS 45
O/K can be connected to the RLS 45 O/K
main control and activated  Service mode.
The main control acts as master and issues
the commands  Overview on page 2.
The settings on the slave controls can be
changed manually.
● If a room air control is being used as a
slave, addressing as slave 1, 2 or 3 (de-
pending on number of slaves) must be se-
lected in the control's service menu. Power

units are addressed using a button on the
power unit's housing: Press button once on
LT 1, twice on LT 2 and three times on LT 3.
● If you have an odd number of units (3 or 5
ventilation units), the control ensures com-
pensation of volumetric flow between the
supply air and exhaust air units  Service
mode.
● In case of an uneven number of ventilation
units, the smaller number of devices is
connected to the fan 1 terminals.
● Stand-alone units can be operated with an
additional external wall air opening (ALD...
in the same room).
● External sensors:
Various external sensors and up to
3 further RLS 45 O/K/power units can be
added to the system via the room air con-
trol's RS 485 interface  Service mode.
● 230 V input on the RLS 45 K:
The 230 V input is switched with a switch/
button to be provided by the customer. In
order to use the additional function, the
desired additional function is selected and
activated in service mode.
● The following additional functions are
available:
● Sleep mode
● Intermittent ventilation
● External OFF
● Supply air operation with overrun time of
0 min.
● Supply air operation with overrun time of
6 min.
● Supply air operation with overrun time of
15 min.
