PP 45 ventilation units have a DC fan with re-
versal of rotational direction. To achieve efficient
ventilation, we would recommend operating the
units in pairs. Here is a ventilation example.
A ceramic heat exchanger stores the heat
from the exhaust air flow. In WRG mode, this
heat is transferred to the passing supply air
entering the rooms – heated air flows into the
rooms. In cross-ventilation operation without
heat transfer.

7.1 Heat recovery operating mode

All ventilation units connected to a room
air control run with heat recovery (WRG) in
alternation.
When the WRG function is switched on,
the associated status LED (WRG) lights up.
Interconnected unit pairs switch between
ventilation and air extraction in a 60-second
cycle. The ventilation level can be changed as
often as required.

7.2 Cross-ventilation operating mode

Suited to rapidly venting living spaces or for
cooling (e.g. summer operation). Operation
without heat recovery.
All ventilation units run with a fixed airflow
direction in continuous operation in supply air
or exhaust air mode.
All ventilation units of the Fan1 group run in
exhaust air mode and the ventilation units of
the Fan2 group run in supply air mode.
The ventilation level selected remains active
until changed manually. When the function
is switched on, the associated status LED
(cross-ventilation) lights up.
NOTICE
During continuous cross-ventilation mode, the
rooms may cool down if the supply air tem-
perature is low (outside temperature < 16 °C).
Recommendation: Only use cross-ventilation
mode for limited periods.
