● With external sensors, addressing is
undertaken using the rotary switch in the
sensor's housing:
0: Sensor 1
● Position
1: Sensor 2
● Position
2: Sensor 3
● Position
● The sensors (external and internal) are
only taught in on the master.

7.5 Systems with radio controls

● There is a unit control with radio module in
each PP 45 RC ventilation unit.
● All you need to operate a radio-controlled
system is a DS 45 RC radio switch. This
can be simply glued to the installation loca-
tion on the wall.
● Alternatively, the EnOcean module PP 45
EO can be added to wired systems (combi
system). These are then operated using the
RLS 45 K control.
● With radio-controlled systems, associated
unit pairs work in master-slave mode.
● Only one slave unit can be assigned to
each master ventilation unit.
● Slave ventilation units are connected to the
master. Other components (radio sensors,
radio switches etc.) are also only taught
in on the master unit. The master unit is
responsible for handling with the slave unit.
● To teach in EnOcean components
 Operating instructions, chapter 7.
● PP 45 Act 1-channel radio actuator for the
"Supply air for exhaust air units" function.
For connection  enclosed assembly
instructions. For more details, see
Chapter 9.15.

8 Installation preparations

8.1 Mounting instructions for shell
phase
● The ventilation units are only suited to
supply air rooms.
● Ensure sufficient space to work in front of
the unit  For filter changes.
● The customer should provide appropriate
mounting material for mounting the wall
sleeve and external cover.
● To ensure that condensate is removed via
the external cover's drip edge, the core drill
hole should have a 1 to 2 % incline to the
external wall. Condensate may drip at some
distance from the external wall. Recommen-
dation: To prevent dirt from depositing on
the façade around the external cover, fit a
water-repellent plaster system.
● Core hole diameter Ø 162. Observe 1 to
2 % incline to the outside.
● Wall thickness min. 280 mm.
● For soffit elements, determine the installa-
tion dimensions depending on the installa-
tion position. Observe minimum spacing.
● Observe permissible ranges for radio-con-
trolled units  Technical data.
● Select installation position so to avoid con-
tamination and draughts.
● Observe electrical supply line to suit unit
variant:
PP 45 O/K:
Control cable J-Y (ST) Y 2 x 2 x 0.8 mm
PP 45 RC: NYM 3 x 1.5mm²
● Select installation locations and models for
the ventilation units to keep noise emissions
down. If possible avoid:
● sound bridges with the structure by ob-
serving sufficient distance from other façade
elements.
● disbalances, which arise from different
lengths of control cable. Observe installation
requirements relating to cable lengths and
types.
