Wired systems
An RLS 45 O or RLS 45 K master room air
control can have a maximum of 3 further
power units and/or slave room air controls of
a similar design added to it.
A maximum of 4 control units can therefore be
deployed in a PP 45 ventilation system.
You can only combine room air controls
i
of the same type (either RLS 45 O or
RLS 45 K).
All other room air controls/power units are
connected via the RS 485 interface.
If further room air controls are connect-
i
ed, these must be defined as slaves in
service mode  Operating instructions
or installation instructions.
The relevant ventilation units are connected
to the relevant room air controls/power units.
The ventilation units on an RLS 45 O/K are
generally connected directly to the Fan1 or
Fan2 terminal block.
Radio-controlled systems
Radio-controlled ventilation units are operated
by the DS 45 RC radio switch, which can be
used to control all wireless ventilation units in
range.
Alternatively, an RLS 45 K control with PP 45 EO
extension module can also be used.

9.7 Mounting
1. Take off room air control's front panel.
2. Set up unit pairs.

** In case of an uneven number of ventilation
units, the smaller number of devices is
connected to the fan 1 terminals.

3. Connect ventilation unit cables of the
same Fan1 or Fan2 group to the plug-in
connection terminal  Wiring diagrams in
the appendix. If necessary, use a separate
distribution box.
Recommendation: If there are more

than 2 ventilation units, install the room
air control in a switch box to be supplied
by the customer. This provides suffi-
cient space for the connection of the
cables to the room air control.
Additional ventilation units can be used
i
when using PP 45 LT power units.
4. Insert room air control in the recessed-
mounted box and screw down to recessed-
mounted box with 4 screws.
5. Fit front panel. Ensure that the sensor
opening lies above the integrated PP 45
HYI (if present).
6. Start up ventilation system  Chapter 10.
