6. Safety Instructions

In case of damage caused by not complying with these safety instructions the guarantee will become void. We will not assume any
responsibility for consequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper use or the failure to observe the safety
instructions! In such cases the warranty/guarantee is voided.
Normal wear and tear and accident and crash damages (e.g. broken propeller or other broken parts) are also excluded from the guarantee and
warranty.
Dear Customer,
These safety instructions are not only for the protection of the product but also for your own safety and the safety of others. Therefore read this
chapter very carefully before putting the product into operation!
a) General information
Caution, important note!
Operating the model may cause damage to property and/or individuals. Therefore, make sure that you are properly insured when using the model,
e.g. by taking out private liability insurance. If you already have private liability insurance, enquire whether the operation of the model is covered
before operating it.
Please note: In some EU countries, you are required to have insurance for any flying models!
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product or its components is inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children under 14 years of age.
• The product may not become damp or wet.
• If you do not have sufficient knowledge yet as how to deal with remote-controlled models, please seek the advice of an experienced model sportsman or a
model construction club.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become dangerous playing material for children!
• Should questions arise that are not answered with the help of this operating manual, contact us (contact information see chapter 1) or another expert.
b) Before operation
• Unroll the antenna wire of the receiver of the model to its complete length. Any parts of the antenna that hangs out of the model at the rear must neither be
turned over towards the front and fastened to the model nor cut off. The best reception results are attained if the wire hangs loose from the model and is
dragged during the flight.
• Make sure that no other models are operated within the range of the remote control on the same remote control channel (transmitter frequency). Otherwise,
you will lose control of the remote-controlled models! Always use different channels if you wish to operate two or several models in the immediate proximity of
each other simultaneously.
• Regularly check the function safety of your model and of the remote control system. Watch out for visible damage such as defective plug connections or
damaged cables. All moving parts of the model must run smoothly, but should not have any play in their bearings.
• Charge the receiver batteries as well as the rechargeable batteries in the remote control according to the instructions provided by the respective manufacturers.
• If batteries are used for the power supply to the transmitter, make sure that they have sufficient remaining capacity (battery checker). If the batteries are empty,
always replace the complete set, never individual cells only.
• Before each operation, control the settings of the trim slider on the transmitter for different steering directions and, if necessary, adjust them.
• To operate your model, always pull out the telescopic antenna to its full length as otherwise the transmitters presents a considerable lower range and the
transmitter output is strained higher than average.
• Always switch on the transmitter first, then the receiver. Otherwise, the model plane might show unpredictable responses!
• Check the correct and secure position of the propeller before each operation.
• Make sure that neither objects nor body parts are in the rotating and suction area of the propeller while it is rotating.
• New combustion motors need to be run in before they can operate at peak output. Observe the operating instructions for the specific combustion motor at all
times.
