c) Programming the operating mode

The code lock has 3 different operating modes to enable the code lock changeover contact:
Operating mode 1 = Activation via the transponder
The transponder must be held in front of the sensor surface (area above the keypad). If a valid
transponder has been detected, the changeover contact will be enabled.
If the transponder is lost, it can be deleted from the code lock memory. Until then, however,
anyone who finds the transponder could gain access to it.
Operating mode 2 = Activation via the user code or the transponder
If you enter a valid user code for the code lock or hold a tuned in transponder in front of the
sensor surface, the changeover contact will be enabled. Anyone watching the code entry could
gain access.
Either a user code or a transponder can be stored in each of the 1000 storage devices.
Operating mode 3 = Activation via the user code and the transponder
Both a user code and a transponder are required to enable the output. The transponder must
be held in front of the sensor surface. After the successful detection of a valid transponder, an
additional user code must be entered.
In this case, security is much higher than when using only a transponder or a user code. Only
the person who is in a possession of the transponder and who knows the user code can gain
access.
A user code and the associated transponder can be stored in each of the 1000 storage devices.
To select the operating mode, proceed as follows:
• Enable the programming mode; see chapter 9. a).
• Enter . The control LED will flash yellow.
• Select the operating mode with the following codes:
Activation of the changeover contact via the transponder
Activation of the changeover contact via the user code or the transponder
Activation of the changeover contact via the user code and the transponder
• The code lock will emit a long sound signal and the control LED will glow yellow steadily; the
access mode will be stored.
• Press the button to exit programming mode. The control LED will glow red steadily.
