This allows to define a filter for the bus statistics of the data frames and the bus load at the layer 2
level. It has an effect on the 1st and 2nd bytes of the CAN message (COB ID). In the CANopen
protocol the CAN identifier is set up as follows:
1st byte:
bit 'F'
bit 'E'
CANopen Function Code
2nd byte:
bit '7'
bit '6'
least significant 3 bits of the node ID
The "Frame Filter" indicates which bits of the 1st and 2nd bytes of the CAN identifier are to be set (bit
= 1), to be reset (bit = 0) or are not to be considered (bit = X) so that the message can pass the filter
thus being considered for the bus statistics. With the keys 0 - 9 or A - F the individual bits of the 16-bit
mask can be changed. With the key "ENTER" the bus statistics are indicated by using the entered
filter.
