Charging the battery

The battery must be charged upon commissioning or when the battery status indicator lights up red.
1 Connect the low voltage connector to the charger.
2 Insert the plug-in power supply into a suitable mains socket.
Warning! The socket must be located near to the charger and
be easily accessible.
The green 'power' indicator lights up. The red 'charge' indicator
flashes.
3 Insert the battery into the charger the correct way around with
charging contacts facing into the charger. Press the battery
carefully into the charger until it locks into place. The battery is locked into place. The red 'charge' indicator
lights up continuously during charging. Once charging is complete, the red indicator goes out. The battery can
be removed.

Removing the battery

1 Slide the release catch on the charger forward in the direction of the arrow
and keep it in this position. The lock is released.
2 L ift the battery out of the charger from the locking point first. The lock can be
released.
Inserting the battery into the measuring instrument
Lay the measuring instrument on a soft surface with the
rear facing upwards.
Fold the rear stand bracket upwards.
Using a flat object (e.g. a wide slotted screwdriver), turn
the lock to the 'open' position. This is indicated by an
open lock symbol.
Remove the cover from the battery and fuse compart-
ment. Use a slotted screwdriver, if necessary. The cov-
er contains a sealing ring made of rubber which seals
the measuring instrument . As such, the cover can only
be released from the measuring instrument with some
force. When removing and inserting the cover, ensure
that this seal is not damaged.
Insert the fully charged battery pack with the contacts
facing into the measuring instrument and press it into the battery compartment.
Replace the battery compartment cover with the upper tabs facing into the measuring instrument and then press it with
some force into the measuring instrument.
Lock the cover. Using a flat object (e.g. a wide slotted screwdriver), turn the lock to the 'locked' position. This is indi-
cated by a closed lock symbol.
The measuring instrument is ready for operation.
