Proceed as follows to measure alternating (A
- Switch the DMM on and select the measuring function '10 A', 'mA' or 'µA'. Press the 'MODE' button to switch
to the AC measurement range. In addition to the unit, the display also shows the symbol for alternating current
' '. Pressing this button again takes you to the combined AC+DC display mode and back, etc.
- The table shows the different modes and potential measurement ranges. Select the measurement range and cor-
responding measurement sockets.

- Insert the red test lead into the 10 A or µA mA measurement socket. Insert the black test lead into the COM meas-
urement socket.
- Connect the two probe tips (de-energised) in series to the object that you want to measure (e.g. generator or
circuit). The electrical circuit must be disconnected before you connect the probes.
- Reconnect the circuit. The measured value appears on the display.
- After measuring, disconnect the circuit and remove the test leads from the measured object. Switch the DMM off.
