opening on the guide bar [2-5] snaps onto the ten-
sion bolt [2-6]. Then put the chain sprocket cover
[2-1] on the clamping bolt [2-7] and tighten by
rotating the fastening wheel [2-2] clockwise. Make
sure the chain is tensioned correctly before tight-
ening. Check the chain for correct tension!

11.7 Replacing the chain sprocket

Remove the chain and the guide bar as described
above. Using a screwdriver, strip the snap safety
ring [8-1] from the spindle [8-4], and remove the
washer [8-2] and chain sprocket [8-3]. After re-
placement, put the washer and safety ring back
on.

11.8 Lubrication and cleaning

We recommend cleaning the machine regularly.
Remove dust, cuttings, resin and other impuri-
ties. Detergents that contain solvents can harm the
painted surfaces or plastic parts. If you use such
detergents, we recommend that you fi rst test their
effect on a small hidden surface. During mainte-
nance or replacement of any part of the tool cutting
set, clean the inside of the cover by removing the
accumulated dust and cuttings, clean the guide
groove, as well as the lubrication and tension ports
of the chain's guide bar. Do not clean the rotary
suction adaptor with your fi ngers! The motor cov-
er's ventilation ports must not be blocked!

11.9 Replacing the carbon brushes

WARNING
The saw must undergo safety inspection to main-
tain its protection category, and this work must
be done at an authorised facility licensed to per-
form such work. Before servicing the tool, always
unplug the cord from the socket!
Have an authorised service facility handle replace-
ment of the brushes, power cord, etc. If the ma-
chine is dropped, it must be checked by an au-
thorised service centre to prevent any electrical
or mechanical hazard.
After approximately 200 operating hours, the
brushes must be checked. The brushes are acces-
sible after removal of the hood. The brushes must
be replaced with new ones if they become shorter
than 5 mm.
The machine is equipped with self-detaching brush-
es that come off automatically once the minimum
length is reached. Use only original-equipment
brushes!

its incorporation into national law, power tools that
are no longer suitable for use must be separately
collected and sent for recovery in an environmen-
tal-friendly manner.
