b) Getting started with the outdoor sensor

• Take the outdoor sensor out of the transparent cover.
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor.
• Insert two AA batteries of the type micro/AAA with correct polarity into the battery
compartment (15) of the outdoor sensor (observe plus/+ and minus/-). There is a corre-
sponding illustration in the battery compartment.
• All display elements will appear briefly on the integrated LC display of the outdoor sensor,
afterwards there will be a display for the temperature and air humidity.
The LED on the front of the outdoor sensor will start to flash (for about 10 seconds).
Within these 10 seconds set a different transmission channel with the "CH" key, if
you operate more than one outdoor sensor (1 to 5 are possible, basic setting is "1").

Each outdoor sensor has to have a different channel number, otherwise they will
not work properly.
The channel number selected will be shown on the display of the outdoor sensor.
If you only operate one outdoor sensor, you don't have to set anything.
If no display appears, take the batteries out and insert them again with correct
polarity, actuate the "RESET" (18) key.
If you don't actuate any key for 10 seconds, the setting is copied and a transmission process
to the base station is performed.
• The base station should only display the outdoor temperature at the selected channel.
• Select the desired display unit °C (degrees Celsius) or °F (degrees Fahrenheit) via the "°C/
°F" key (17).
• Close the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor.
• Slide the outdoor sensor from the bottom into the transparent cover.

For other outdoor sensors proceed in the same way.
