• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (eg during transport) condensation
may form. This could damage the product. For the plug-in power supply unit there is also the
deadly peril of an electric shock!
This is why you should always let the product get to room temperature before you use it or
connect the plug-in power supply with the mains voltage. This can sometimes take several
hours.
• Do not place any containers with liquid, eg buckets, vases or plants in the immediate
proximity of the product. Liquid could get inside the housing and impair electrical safety.
There is furthermore a high risk of fire or of a life-threatening electric shock.
If this is the case, de-energise the respective socket (eg switch off circuit breaker) and only
then pull the plug-in power supply from the socket. Afterwards, the product must no longer
be used, bring it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not place any open fire sources such as burning candles on the device or in its proximity.
• Never touch the plug-in power supply when your hands are damp or wet. Danger of a life-
threatening electric shock!
• Do not pull the plug-in power supply unit from the mains socket by pulling the cable Hold it
with one hand on the left and right, pull it out of the socket in a straight line (exactly the other
way around then when it was plugged in).
• Do not bend the cable and do not place objects on it.
• Should the plug-in power supply unit show any damages, don't use it anymore!
If it is already in the mains socket, de-energise the socket first (eg via the respective circuit-
breaker) before you pull the plug-in power supply out of the mains socket. Do not use the
product anymore afterwards but bring it to a specialised workshop.
• In industrial facilities, the safety regulations laid down by the professional trade associations
for electrical equipment and facilities must be adhered to.
• If the product is used at schools, training facilities, do-it-yourself and hobby workshops it
should not be handled unless supervised by trained, responsible personnel.
• Handle the product with care and do not drop it; knocks, blows or even a fall from a low height
can damage it.
