Safety
Warning: To minimise the risk of fire, electrocution or personal injury, basic safety
precautions must be followed when using power tools. Read and retain the following
instructions before using the power tool.
1. Keep the working area tidy.

Cluttered surfaces and benches invite accidents.
2. The working environment.

Do not expose the power tool to rain.

Do not use the power tool in moist or wet areas.

Make sure that the work area is well-illuminated.

Never use the power tool in areas where combustible gases or liquids are stored.
3. Guard against electric shocks.

Avoid physical contact with earthed objects such as water pipes, radiators
and cookers.
4. Keep other people at a safe distance.

Never permit persons, especially children, not involved in the work to touch
the power tool or its power supply cables. Keep unauthorised persons away
from the work area.
5. Power tool storage.

Power tools which are not in use should be kept locked up in a dry place out of
children's reach.
6. Do not force the power tool.

The work will be performed better and more safely if the power tool is used at
the recommended cutting speed and feed rate.
7. Use the correct tool for the job.

Do not force a small tool to perform a task which requires a tool with a larger capacity.

Do not use a power tool to perform a task it is not designed for. For example,
do not use a circular saw to saw tree branches or tree trunks.
8. Wear suitable clothing.

Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery; they could be caught in moving parts.

Wear non-slip footwear when working outdoors.

Wear a hairnet or similar if you have long hair.
