l) Switching on/off DCF reception
As already described in Chapter 10, the DCF reception can be switched on/off.
• Once the batteries have been inserted, the DCF reception is automatically switched on.
• You can switch the DCF reception on or off by pressing the " " button (2) on the front side
of the weather station for 3 seconds.
When the reception is switched off the radio tower disappears.
With the reception turned on, the radio symbol flashes to show that the station is searching
for DCF signal. As described in chapter 10, this process may take a few minutes.
• To manually set the time and date, please observe the following chapter 12. m).
m) Setting time & date manually
If no DCF reception is possible at the set-up location, you can set the time and date manually.
• Press and hold the "MODE/SET" button (4) for 3 seconds until the hours in the display start
flashing.
• Adjust the hours with the " " (1) or " " (2) buttons. For quick adjustment, hold the
corresponding button for a longer period of time (this is also true for any further settings).
• Briefly press the "MODE/SET" button (4), the minutes flash. Adjust the minutes with the " "
(1) or " " (2) buttons.
• Briefly press the "MODE/SET" button (4), the seconds flash. The seconds can be reset to
"00" with the " " (1) or " " (2) buttons.
• Briefly press the "MODE/SET" button (4), the year flashes. Set the year with the " " (1) or
" " (2) buttons.
• Briefly press the "MODE/SET" button (4), on the bottom right next to the datum, two letters
"D" and "M" begin to flash.
With the " " (1) or " " (2) buttons you can switch the order of the month and the date ("D"
= Date/Day, "M" = Month).
• Briefly press the "MODE/SET" button (4), the month flashes. Adjust the month with the " "
(1) or " " (2) buttons.
• Briefly press the "MODE/SET" button (4), the date flashes. Set the date with the " " (1) or
" " (2) buttons.
• Briefly press the "MODE/SET" button (4), the time zone flashes ("TZ"="Time zone"). Adjust
the time zone with the " " (1) or " " (2) buttons.
• Briefly press the "MODE/SET" button (4), when you do, the language for the weekday
display flashes below the seconds display.
