17. Handling

Observe all the safety information in these operating instructions!
a) General information
The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. It contains swallowable
small parts, glass (display), and batteries.
The product may not be opened or disassembled (apart from the battery replacement
described in these operating instructions).
The device contains no parts that require servicing. If opened of taken apart, the CE approval
as well as the warranty/guarantee will be void.
Do not drop the product even from a low height as this might damage it.
b) Weather station
Avoid the following adverse environmental conditions when operating the weather station:
- dampness or high humidity
- extremely cold or hot temperatures
- direct sunlight
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields as present near machines or loudspeakers
Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold into a warm room.
Condensation that forms might destroy your device. Wait until the product has reached room
temperature. This may take several hours!
The installation site should be chosen in a way that the weather station has a firm position and
cannot fall down. If it falls, the weather station will not only be damaged, there is also a danger
of personal injury.
Valuable or scratch sensitive furniture surfaces should be protected from damage with suitable
covers, before you put the weather station on them.
