Intended Use of the Measuring
Instrument VC 240:
Measurement of direct voltages up to max. 1000VDC in the over-
voltage category CAT II
Measurement of alternating voltages up to max. 750VACrms in the
over-voltage category CAT II
Measurement of direct and alternating currents up to max. 20A, for
a maximum period of 10s with pauses of 15min between the single
measurements (secured)
Measurement of resistance values up to max. 20 MΩ
Continuity test (below approx. 50 Ω acoustic) and diode test
Measurements must not be carried out under unfavourable ambient
conditions. Unfavourable ambient conditions are the following ones:
- wetness or excessive humidity
- dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- electrical storms or stormy conditions and strong electrostatic
fields, etc.
Use other than that described above will lead to damage to the
measuring instrument and additional risks, such as short circuit, fire,
electric shock etc. No part of the product may be changed or modi-
fied! The safety instructions should be observed without fail!
