b) Switching on the Transmitter
After inserting four new batteries into the transmitter, you may switch on the transmitter for testing purposes. For this,
slide the on/off switch (see figure 1, item 11) from the bottom position (off) to the top position (on). The control stick
for the pitch/tail function (see figure 1, item 13 for control stick mode 2) should be in the bottom-most position for this.
After the transmitter is switched on, the transmitter and receiver must automatically align with each another (binding
function). Therefore, the transmitter goes into alignment mode for approx. 5 seconds after it is switched on to deter-
mine the digital coding of the transmitted signals together with the receiver.
During this time, the LED display in the transmitter will flash (see figure 1, item 2) and the transmitter will emit signal
sounds in a quick sequence.
After completing binding, the symbol for the model lighting is shown in the display (see figure 3, item 13). To save
power, the backlighting of the display goes off on its own after approx. 15 seconds, and will only become active again
when a button is pushed (except for button 9).

c) Displays and Transmitter Functions

The display shows the following parameters:
1 Transmitter symbol
2 Model symbol
3 Display for the voltage situation of the trans-
mitter batteries
4 Display for the tail control
5 Display for the nod and roll control
6 Display of the control stick assignment
7 Display of the dual rate function (H / L)
8 Display of the available control channels
9 Display of the nod trim
10 Display of the roll trim
11 Display of the tail trim
12 Display of the pitch trim
13 Display of the model lighting
The displays shown in figure 3 correspond to the common control stick mode 2 that is set ex works (see
figure 3, item 6).
