9. Operation of the remote control

From this point on, the numbers used in the text throughout these operating instructions always refer to the illustration alongside the text or to the
illustrations within the respective section. Cross-references to other illustrations will be indicated by the corresponding illustration number. Upon
delivery, the transmitter is set to mode II. In this mode, you use the left control stick to control the rudder and the motor speed, and the right control
stick to control the aileron and the elevator.

a) Screwing on the transmitter aerial

If necessary, the transmitter aerial is inserted from the front/top into the circular opening in the casing of the transmitter as far as it will go (also see ill. 2, pos. 2)
and is then screwed tight. Screw the aerial tight manually. Do not use force or a tool to screw it tight.

b) Inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries

The transmitter is supplied with power by 8 AA alkaline batteries (e.g. Conrad
item no.: 652507, pack of 4, order 2) or rechargeable batteries. For ecological
and economical reasons, it is recommended to use rechargeable batteries,
since they can be recharged in the transmitter through the built-in charging
socket (4).
To insert the batteries or rechargeable batteries, please proceed as follows:
The battery compartment lid (1) is on the back of the transmitter.
Push down the corrugated area (2) and push off the lid downwards.
Insert 8 batteries or rechargeable batteries into the battery compartment.
Make sure you observe the correct polarity of the individual cells. The polarity
is indicated (3) at the bottom of the battery compartment.
Then slide the lid of the battery compartment back on from the bottom until the
locking mechanism engages.
Note: The socket (5) on this transmitter has no function.
