Checking safety equipment

Before the vehicle lift is first used the following checks should be carried out by a mechanic from the service department.
No vehicle should be on the lift when this work is done.
Locking Mechanism
The locking catches (B.16) should be free to engage all the cams of the locking strip.
Maximum Height Position
Raise the lift to the highest position. The lift must stop before the mechanical positive stop position is reached. The lift
will stop at a fixed position. The programmable height adjustment must be inactive (see § 4.3.4, programmable height
adjustment). Assemble the maximum height limit with 4 potentiometer rods at the same distance higher or lower.
Lowering Protection
Place an object under one track and lower the lift. Lowering should be switched off within 55 mm. It should now only be
possible to raise the vehicle lift. The lifting function can be overruled for 2 seconds by operating the Aoverrule" button
(see fig. 2.1, control box) and then the lifting button. Before mentioned operation can be repeated until height differences
are minimized by the control system (blinking stops) and normal lowering is possible
Safety System
Raise one of the tracks by pushing button M 3 in the control box (see fig. 4.7 control box sticker) until lifting is stopped.
Column III is now max. 75 mm out of level. Operation of the push buttons on the front panel is now disabled. Operate MS
and Up inside the control box to level the lift.
Emergency stop
Push the emergency button. All functions must be disabled. Release the emergency button by twisting it clockwise. Turn
the main switch off and on. Normal operation of the lift should be possible now.
Automatic footguard (if program code is activated)
Raise the lift to approx. 400 mm and lower the lift with the unlock and lowering button. At a level of 300 mm the lift will
stop. Release and press the unlock and lowering button again. Lowering will now be accompanied by an acoustic alarm.
