INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
3.1
LUBRICATION CHART
Maintenance and inspection of the vehicle lift must be regularly serviced as listed below.
Once a year the lift must be subjected to a highly detailed check and inspection.
You can have the car lift professionally checked by Stertil-KONI mechanics by entering into a maintenance contract.

It is strongly recommended that the hydraulic oil will be changed every 2 years, irrespective of the amount of use to which
the lift is subjected.
Lower lift to its lowes position and drain all the oil.
Refill with hydraulic oil Hydran 46 (46 cSt bij 40°C), filtered at 4 micron max.
Quantity of oil: 4 x 8 liters
During inspection and maintenance the vehicle lift should be in the lowest position. Make sure the tracks are resting in the
locks (lowering without unlocking), when complete lowering is not possible because of the malfunction. The main switch
should be turned off. This means that the main switch should be turned to the 0 position and is to be secured with a
padlock. Only when certain adjustments and checks demand it may the power to the lift again be turned on.
3.2
DAILY (BY OPERATOR)

Check for visible damage.

Check for oil leaks in the hydraulic unit, lines and cylinders in the posts.
3.3
MONTHLY (BY OPERATOR)

Check for sloping tracks. Slope can be measured as follows: raise the lift 500 mm from its lowest position. Measure at
all four posts the height from the foot plate to a fixed point on the moving section; for a height differential exceeding
25 mm the service department should be consulted.

Check for oil leaks.

Check the oil level. With the vehicle lift in its lowest position the oil level in the tank of the hydraulic unit should be
above the line indicating the minimum level. 'HYDRAN 46' hydraulic oil should be used with an absolute filtering of
4 mu.

Check the operation of the locking catches. One man should operate the release on the control box (with the lift in the
lowest position), while another should check that the catch moves at the posts.
- Caution: Clean the lighting (option) armatures only with a non aggressive cleaning agent.
