IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Work safely!
Stertil B.V. have made every effort to inform you as correctly and completely as possible on any dangers associated
with operation of the vehicle lift. You must ensure and are responsible for compliance with these behaviourial
guidelines.
The buyer/user is obliged to familiarize operating, cleaning and maintenance personnel with these instructions.
Upon their arrival, check deliveries for:
- any damage and/or missing parts due to transport. Make sure that the carrier draws up a transport damage report on the
spot.
- correctness and completeness; have all parts (additionally) and or accessories ordered been supplied?
In the event of damage always contact Stertil B.V. or the supplier.
- Use by untrained people could result in serious injury and/or damage.
- Only authorised persons should operate the vehicle lift. These persons are in any case familiar with the
operating instructions of the lift. If the vehicle lift is fitted with two control boxes (option). Although simultaneous
operation of the vehicle lift is not possible (the control unit ensures a preferential sequence of operation), this feature
can result in unexpected situations arising, when both control boxes are operated at the same time.
- The lift must be lowered completely, before the vehicle is positioned on the tracks.
Position the vehicle in a straight line on the tracks, with the tires completely on the tracks. The manual brake must be
engaged and wheel chocks must be used to secure the vehicle.
- Before the vehicle lift is operated, the operator must assure himself that no persons or objects are present under, on or
in the immediate proximity of the vehicle lift (including vehicles).
- During lifting and lowering the vehicle should be watched carefully. Obstacles (trestles etc.) under the vehicle during
lowering can cause dangerous situations and damage. The placement of an excessively high vehicle on the lift can also
cause dangerous situations and damage during lifting.
- Standing on or under the vehicle (with load) when the lift is operated is not permitted. Climbing on the lift or vehicle
is also not permitted.
- In the event of faults and after work, the vehicle lift should be positioned at its lowest setting and the main switch of
both control box should be switched off. This means that the main switch should be turned to the 0 position and is to
be secured with a padlock.
- Danger of getting injured by electrical shock.
- Only remove the covers to carry out maintenance, ensure that the vehicle lift is disconnected from the power
supply.
- This vehicle lift should only be used for lifting of vehicles and not for other applications. The positioning of the
lifting system must be done in a way that a safe working area will be obtained, thereby creating escape paths
for emergency situations (leave passageways of at least 600 mm).
- During welding on or to the lift, take care of adequate earthing to prevent damage to the hydraulic cylinder, cables etc.
