12. Binding Function

To ensure that 2.4 GHz remote controls can transfer their signal without interference, the transmitter and receiver must
have the same digital code. Alignment of the digital encoding (binding between transmitter and receiver) is performed
with the binding function.
Transmitter and receiver are usually already aligned with each other or bound in the factory and can be used at once.
You only need renew the binding after a receiver or transmitter change or to remove a malfunction; or if you want to
register the vehicle to another model memory slot (see chapter 10. b).
Proceed as follows:
• Switch off the vehicle.
• Switch on the transmitter. Wait until the display of the battery/rechargeable battery voltage appears and the trans-
mitter is ready for operation.
• Keep the binding button (10) on the receiver pushed and switch on the vehicle. The LED (11) flashes quickly.
• After 5 seconds, the LED should remain lit. The receiver is now taught in at the transmitter. Check the correct reac-
tion of the vehicle for the control functions at the transmitter.

13. Failsafe Function

If the receiver receives no valid signal from the transmitter, the motor is switched off automatically for reasons of
safety. The LED (11) from the receiver goes out. The steering servo, however, remains in the last position controlled.
Reasons for activation of the fail-safe function may be:
• The receiver is too far from the transmitter
• Interferences in the 2.4 GHz range from other devices
• The transmitter is off.
• The receiver is not registered at the transmitter (see chapter 12).

14. Undervoltage Recognition

At a rechargeable battery voltage below 6.0 V, the motor is switched off to protect the drive battery from harmful deep
discharge. At the same time, the sound generator emits a warning sound.
In this case, switch off the vehicle, disconnect the drive battery from the vehicle and then charge it again.
