• If the batteries (or rechargeable batteries) in the transmitter are weak, their range decreases. Exchange
the batteries or rechargeable batteries for new ones.
• When the car's drive battery is weak, the car gets slower or no longer responds correctly to the transmit-
ter.
The drive battery in the vehicle is used to supply not only the motor with voltage/power, but also the
receiver and the steering servo.
Stop driving if there is any functional problem (switch off the vehicle, disconnect drive battery from
vehicle, switch off transmitter). Then replace the vehicle drive battery with a fully charged drive battery
or recharge the drive battery.
• Before every battery change, always take a 5 minutes' break for the engine and the electronics to cool
off.
• Let the drive battery cool down completely before charging it.

6. Battery and Rechargeable Battery Notes

Although use of batteries and rechargeable batteries in everyday life is a matter of course today,
there are many dangers and problems. In particular in LiPo batteries with high energy content (as
compared to conventional NiMH batteries), various provisions must be complied with to avoid
danger of explosion and fire.
Therefore, always observe the following information and safety notes in handling of batteries and
rechargeable batteries.
• Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave any batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of batteries being
swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately!
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, disassembled or thrown into fire. There
is a danger of explosion!
• If you do not use it for any extended period of time (e.g. during storage), remove the batteries/recharge-
able batteries inserted in the transmitter to prevent damage from leaking batteries/rechargeable batter-
ies. Disconnect the drive battery from the vehicle completely and take it out of the vehicle.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause chemical burns to skin at contact; there-
fore, use suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are chemically highly aggressive. Objects or sur-
faces that come into contact with them may take severe damage. Therefore, keep batteries/recharge-
able batteries in a suitable location.
• Never recharge normal (non-rechargeable) batteries. There is a risk of fire and explosion! Charge only
rechargeable batteries intended for this; use suitable chargers.
• Always observe correct polarity of batteries/rechargeable batteries and the connection of a rechargeable
drive battery (note plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the batteries.
• Never mix batteries and rechargeable batteries! Use batteries or rechargeable batteries, e.g. for the
transmitter.
