C) Restoring Speed Controller Basic Settings (Reset) - Reely 23 72 14 Bedienungsanleitung

When "Auto" is selected (basic factory setting), the speed controller calculates the number of cells auto-
matically from the battery voltage measured at start-up. When the driving batteries that are connected are
not fully charged, this will lead to a wrong number of cells!
When the speed controller is switched on, green LED flashes and the motor beeps to indicate the number
of cells recognised. Observe chapter 8. h).
a) Voltage below 8.8V: 2-cell LiPo driving battery
b) Voltage between 8.8 and 17.6V -> 4-cell LiPo driving battery (correct for this vehicle)
c) Voltage above 17.6V -> 6-cell LiPo driving battery
The switch-off voltage for the undervoltage protection of NiMH batteries can be calculated from the combination of
LiPo cell number selected and voltage set for the undervoltage protection.
Example: If NiMH rechargeable batteries are connected to the speed controller (2 NiMH driving batteries of the same
build, 6 cells each), function #12 must be set to rechargeable battery type "4 cell LiPo". In function #3, set the undervoltage
recognition to 2.6V/cell. For the NiMH driving batteries, this leads to a switch-off voltage of
4 x 2.6V = 10.4V.

c) Restoring Speed Controller Basic Settings (Reset)

Resetting the speed controller is not possible when it is in programming mode.
• Place the vehicle on an appropriate surface so that the wheels can turn freely. Never reach into the drive, and to not
hold the vehicle at its rims!
Attention!
Right after reset, the drive starts up, because neutral position and full throttle positions for forward/reverse
driving were also reset.
• Start the sender and then the model. Switch on the transmitter and connect two driving batteries to the speed
conller.
Switch on the speed controller and wait for a few seconds. The speed controller is now in normal operation mode;
the vehicle can be controlled (steering, forward/reverse driving).
• Now hold down the setup button for approx. three seconds. The red and green LEDs will flash together. Then
release the button.
Now all speed controller programmings are reset to factory settings.
The drive/motor usually starts up now, because neutral position and full throttle positions for forward/
reverse driving were also reset.
Therefore, programme the neutral position and the full throttle positions for forwards and reverse driving
as described in chapter 10. a).
