11 Operating the Lawn Mower
► Press on the wheel fork (1) to reduce the cut‐
ting height.
► Lift the wheel fork (1) and press the swivel
axle (4) in place to increase the cutting height.
► Release the unlocking lever (2).
► Attach the spark plug boot.
Setting the rear cutting height
► Shut off the engine.
The cutting blade must not be turning.
► Pull off the spark plug boot.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Hold the lower handlebar (1) firmly with one
hand.
The lawn mower cannot drop into the lowest
position under its own weight.
► Pull the lever (2) toward the wheel and set it to
the same position as for the front wheel.
► Attach the spark plug boot.

Switching the Drive On and Off
11.4.1
Switching on self-propulsion
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Start the engine.

► Pull the control bar (1) all the way up to the
handlebar (2) and hold it so that your thumb
wraps around the handlebar (2).
The lawn mower starts moving.
11.4.2
Disengaging Self-propulsion
► Release the control bar for self-propulsion.
► Wait until the lawn mower comes to a stand‐
still.

Mowing and mulching
► When working with self-propulsion engaged:
Drive the lawn mower forward in a controlled
manner.
► When working with self-propulsion disen‐
gaged: Push the lawn mower forward slowly
and in a controlled manner.

Opening and closing the dis‐
charge flap
11.6.1
Opening the discharge flap
► Shut off the engine.
The cutting blade must not be turning.
► Pull off the spark plug boot.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Release the fastener (1).
► Pull the discharge flap (2) completely out.
► Tighten the fastener (1).
The discharge flap is open.
11.6.2
Closing the discharge flap
► Shut off the engine.
The cutting blade must not be turning.
► Pull off the spark plug boot.
