DANGER due to electric shock
Observe the safety rules of electrical engineering.
Before taking off covers and before installing the
electrics, shut down all supply circuits, switch off
mains fuse, check that no voltage is present, se-
cure against being accidentally switched back on
and position a visible warning sign.
Observe the applicable regulations for electrical
installations, e.g., DIN EN 50110-1 and DIN EN
60204-1, in Germany in particular VDE 0100 with
the corresponding parts → in case of non-ob-
servance danger due to electric shock, fire or
short circuit.
WARNING
Danger of falling when working at heights.
Serious injuries in the event of a fall. Danger
to persons below the ladder from falling ob-
jects.
When working at heights, use suitable ladders/
climbing aids and ensure that they are stable.
Work in pairs and ensure that you are standing
securely and cannot lose your balance and that
there is no one under the work area. Protect
yourself against falling. Protect the ladder against
bumping, knocking over and tipping.
ATTENTION: Before inserting the slide-in
module, check that the mounting sleeve is in-
stalled correctly (instructions pre-installation
kit). If this is deformed/incorrectly installed,
the slide-in module cannot be inserted. Only
insert the slide-in module into a correctly in-
stalled mounting sleeve. This already has a
suitable slope for the condensate drain to the
external cover.
• The RV 2 cover frame is aligned on the in-
ternal plaster frame and screwed in place with
the enclosed screws (8x). Slightly different
plaster thicknesses can be levelled out with the
cover frame and the position of the internal
cover can be slightly corrected.
• For electrical connection → Connection and
wiring diagrams.
• For permissible voltage and frequency of the
components → rating plate: RV 2 ventilation
units 12 VDC, RLS 45 K control 230 VAC.
• Permitted connection cable Mains connection
and 230 V input: Type NYM-J 5G1, 5 mm².
• Recommended control cable from ventilation
unit to star point/distributor (max. 25 m):
Type LiYY 4x0.5 mm².
