18 Faults and rectification
Call on the services of a trained specialist in
the event of a fault. Faults on the ventilation
unit may only be rectified by qualified electri-
cians. Observe the supplementary safety in-
structions for PushPull ventilation units.

Fault rectification: Ensure that no voltage
is present, restart the control. To perform

Overtemperature/overload of mains ad-

Fault rectification: Check the ambient tem-
perature and allow the mains adapter to
cool down.
No communication or failure of the ex-
ternal power units/RLS or ventilation
units
Fault rectification: Check connection to the
LT/RLS. Check the settings in the soft-
ware (e.g. activated LTs that are not con-
nected). Incorrect addressing (e.g. two
slaves with the same address).
No communication and/or failure of the
sensors (RS 485, I2C)
Fault rectification: Check connection to the
sensors. Check settings in the software
(activated sensors that are not connec-
ted).
Internal system error – RLS slave

Fault rectification: Switch off the voltage.

19 Cleaning and care

For cleaning and care of the RV 2 ventila-
tion unit, see RV 2 operating instructions.
• Change the air filters when the filter change in-
dicator appears on the RLS control (factory set-
ting 6 months).
• Always replace both air filters on each ventila-
tion unit.
• Have the ventilation unit cleaned by a specialist
installer every 2 years.
• Clean the ventilation unit with a dry cloth only.
Safety
Air filter: Using the unit in areas without ap-
propriate air filters can cause serious damage
to health. Breathing difficulties, infections,
risk of suffocation, eye injuries due to smoke,
vapours, fibres, construction foam, mould,
particles from outside.
• Operation of the ventilation unit in areas with
the aforementioned substances is not permit-
ted.
• Switch off the ventilation unit, especially in dan-
gerous situations (fire).
• Never block the air supply.
• The air filters are housed in the slide-in module.
Only use authorised original air filters.
• Dispose of the filters properly as they may con-
tain harmful substances and allergens.
Wear personal protective equipment (mask).
