15.6 Installing DS 45 RC (EnOcean)
radio switch
Radio-controlled operation of the RV 2 ventila-
tion units is possible with the DS 45 RC radio
switch and an EnOcean module PP 45 EO (RS
485). Observe the permissible ranges → chapter
Technical data [} 26].
Installation instructions
• Installation location: Do not mount the re-
ceiver, with internal antenna, on the wall side of
the transmitter.
• Only the EnOcean module PP 45 EO is
taught-in on the master ventilation unit. Radio
switches are taught-in directly to the PP 45
EO.
• The radio switch can be activated in the ser-
vice menu of the RLS 45 K control or with the
CDV commissioning software.
1. Switch off the mains fuse and secure it against
being switched on again.
2. Glue the DS 45 RC to the wall at the installa-
tion location. Alternatively, the radio switch
can also be screwed onto the wall (mounting
material provided by customer).
3. Connect the EnOcean extension module PP
45 EO to the RLS 45 K control (terminals RS
485 bus) → Connection and wiring diagrams
in the appendix and accessory instructions. If
necessary, install a separate distributor for the
wiring.
4. Connect the RLS 45 K room air control to the
PC/notebook.
5. Switch the mains fuse on.
6. Call up the service menu of the RLS 45 K or
CDV commissioning software.

radio switch at specialist installer level here.
7. Activate EnOcean.
8. Call up EnOcean Teach mode and send a
Teach telegram. The radio switch is automat-
ically taught-in to the PP 45 EO.

1. Check the installation before switching on.
The ventilation channels must be clean and
dry and moving parts must be able to move
freely. Only operate the ventilation unit when it
is fully assembled (external cover fitted, all
control and accessory components connec-
ted).
2. Switch on the mains fuse. The unit switches
on.
The fault LED lights up briefly. The LEDs on
the control then indicate the currently set oper-
ating mode and ventilation level.
3. Carry out a function test at the highest and
lowest ventilation level.
4. Test the operating modes and the function of
connected accessory components.

16.1 Service menu of the RLS 45 K

You can activate the service mode on the RLS
45 K control and
• set various unit parameters or
• start the automatic search for the paired unit
assignment (= last setting parameter in service
mode).
Service mode is cancelled automatically if
no button is pressed for 120 seconds.
