17 Operation
To switch off, select ventilation level 0. Switch-off
function can be deactivated in the service menu.
To save energy, the LEDs are dimmed if not used
for 5 minutes.

17.1 Setting options

For operators:
RLS 45 K, DS 45 RC: Operating mode, ventila-
tion level, time-limited intensive ventilation (inter-
mittent ventilation, level 5), time-limited switch-off
(sleep function, level 0) and sensor-controlled
(demand-driven) automatic mode. Automatic
mode only available when the sensor is connec-
ted and activated.
For specialist installers: System configuration
RLS 45 K: With the CDV commissioning software
or in the service menu of the control
17.2 LEDs
LED flashes quickly, slowly, lights up
Vertical LEDs flash quickly = change air filter
17.3 Control buttons
Operating mode: Continuous ventila-
tion with heat recovery (PushPull op-
eration). All ventilation units connected
to the RLS 45 K operate with heat recov-
ery.
RLS 45 K: Operating mode active when
button LED lights up.
Operating mode: Cross-ventilation
without heat recovery (supply air mode:
ventilation, summer operation, PPB 30
exhaust air mode).
RLS 45 K: Operating mode active when
button LED lights up.
Ventilation level setting buttons.
RLS 45 K: Associated ventilation level
LEDs light up (LED display with the 3
vertical LEDs, depending on the LED
combination level 0 to 5).
17.4 Automatic operation: Symbols,
LEDs
To activate, see chapter Switching on automatic
mode.
RLS 45 K: The symbol LED lights up
when the function is activated.
17.5 Faults: Symbols, LEDs
RLS 45 K fault: The symbol LED lights
up. The vertical LEDs flash quickly and
indicate a fault (fault number depending
on the LED combination of the 3 LEDs)

17.6 Setting the ventilation level
RLS 45 K: Use or
ventilation level. Ventilation system in standby
at level 0 (level 0 can be deactivated in the ser-
vice menu).

17.7 Switching on time-limited
intensive ventilation (intermittent
ventilation)
Press button for 2 seconds. The ventilation
unit runs for 30 minutes at level 5 (duration of in-
termittent ventilation can be parameterised).
17.8 Switching on time-limited
switch-off (sleep function)
Press button for 2 seconds. The ventilation
unit switches off for 60 minutes (duration of
switch-off can be parameterised).

17.9 Switching on automatic mode

The sensor/demand-driven automatic function
is only available when the sensor is connec-
ted and activated. Automatic dehumidification
with HYI or HY sensor. Automatic CO2 and air
quality control with CO2 and VOC sensor. The
air volume is infinitely variable.
RLS 45 K: Press
2 seconds. The ventilation unit runs in automatic
mode.
