TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The electric rider seated pallet truck model T 20 R is
designed for loading and stacking pallets and loads up to
2 tonnes. The compact construction and small turning
radius make this truck particularly suitable for work in
narrow aisles.
The truck features an electric traction drive, mechanical
steering and a hydraulic system for the lifting device.
Frame and wheels
The unit-body chassis is supported at four points: at the
front by the drive wheel and the stabiliser, and at the load
end by two load wheels.
Drive
The truck is driven by a 1.5 or 2.0 kW electric motor acting
on the drive wheel over a reduction gearbox. A built-in
large capacity 24 V battery supplies the necessary power.
AL TM pulse control (Linde Transistor Module) with MOS-
FET transistors allows stepless control of forward and
reverse travel.
The L TM module allows easy control of the speed and
smooth starting and braking. The pulse control also has
a power reserve feature for increased starting torque.

Steering
The pallet truck is steered mechanically with a steering
wheel acting on the steering shaft wh ich transmits steer-
ing movements to the drive wheel gearbox over a chain.
Hydraulic system
The hydraulic system is a compact unit consisting of a
motor-pump unit with attached oil reservoir, oil filter,
pressure-relief and control valve, and hydraulic pipes
and hoses.
Lifting and lowering of the forks is effected with the lifting
device via the litt linkage operated with the lift jack.
Operation
The ergonomic positioning of the controls allows lifting
and lowering, forward and reverse travel with one hand.
The right hand remains free to steer the truck.
Lifting and lowering of the forks is controlled with a
pushbutton for each function.
The travel direction is controlled with the directional
control, the truck speed with the accelerator pedal.
The truck can be stopped immediately with the emergen-
cy stop button.
The mechanical self-Ievelling system installed in the
truck ensures safe transport of loads even on uneven
ground.
DESCRIPTION
Brakes
Four independent braking systems:
1. Electromagnetic counter-current brake which is acti-
vated by depressing the accelerator pedal and select-
ing the opposite direction of travel.
2. Releasing the accelerator pedal brakes the truck auto-
matically to astandstill with the LBC brake.
3. Depressing the brake pedal with the right foot acti-
vates the hydraulic disk brake, which acts directly on
the motor shaft.
4. The parking brake is operated mechanically with a
cable acting on the disc brake flanged to the traction
motor. It cuts out the traction current when operated.
